This is a recipe that I've enjoyed since my youth and I guarantee that even if you don't like SauerKraut you'll love this recipe. The Pork Butt is simply to die for and virtually melts in your mouth.
Ingredients: 4-5 lb trimmed Pork Butt, 1 Gallon SauerKraut, Large yellow Onion, Head of Cabbage, bundle of Celery, Carrots for color
Spices: 4 Bay leaves, 4 tsp crushed garlic, 1 tsp black pepper, 2 tsp Lawry's seasoning salt, 2 tsp Lawry's garlic salt, 28 cups of water, and 15 tsp Knorr Beef Bouillon
Directions: Using a cullender, rinse the SauerKraut thoroughly with water. Dice onion, celery, carrots & cabbage. In a large pot, combine all ingredients and spices. Bring to a boil, and add the pork butt. Bring back up to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 5 to 6 hours. Stirring occasionally. Steam some red potatoes and server ... Bon Appetite
