Chicken and dumplings
« Reply #-1 on: November 23, 2013, 12:03:24 AM »
Started with a sashimi snack while working on the main dinner, comfort food was mostly on the mind.  We haven't done chicken and dumplings in a while, so because we had a chicken in the freezer, it seemed the perfect opportunity

... the basic bowl
... my bowl - I love to add hot and black pepper  ;D

That looks excellent - perfect after taking the dog for a long walk. I'll take mine with extra pepper as well.

Looks good.  I was out in the cold for 8 hours, I could go for a large bowl of that.

Thanks gents!  It sure does warm this old body on a cold day.

One of my favorite parts of winter is the food we prepare that we do not in the summer - comfort foods like soups and stews.  Going to do an ox tail stew soon, as well as New England clam chowder
