It showed me between Brownsville (TX), Baton Rouge (LA), and Jackson (MS - Hey there, LA) although I spent most of my first 25 years in Virginia with stints of various duration in Louisiana, California, Georgia, North Carolina, Kansas, Indiana, New York and Florida. I guess them Harvard scholars just can't deal with a well-traveled reptile.

It had me in Pittsburgh and Dallas.  Pretty hard to generate that from an IP.

Well I just thought the test was too good when it picked Santa Clarita as a city for me!

I am always skeptical when it comes to these things :-\

Buffalo
Detroit
Rochester

Where I have lived:
NYC
Queens NY
Buffalo
JAX NC
Now Pensacola - Not IP capturing at all

I tried it a couple of times to make sure it wasn't just pulling Dallas from IP and Pittsburgh from my actual speech pattern.  With just minor differences to answers it put my 2nd and 3rd in different areas.  It always got Pittsburgh though.  Devil's Night and Hoagies are a dead giveaway, and I don't even say Yinz (the Pittsburgh equivalent of y'all) or it would have been even more of a Pittsburgh dialect.

It put me in the Carolinas and Alabama. I live across town from Muebe in Santa Clarita California . Born in Queens NY and move to California when I was in grade school. I reckon the folks I hung around with as a kid from the South rubbed off.
