On my trip to holland in Dec I looked out the Window and got to see them. Very cool and it wasn't even a good view.  Would love to see them in all their glory

I lived in Keflavik, Iceland for 2 years when my Dad was stationed there.  I got spoiled on the beautiful sights.

Quick trivia question.  The Northern Lights are also known as the Aurora Borealis.  Without going to Google, what are the Southern Lights called?

They were supposed to be visable here during a 6 hour window last night.. we had too much overcast though.. :(

Same here in north-central Illinois.  :(

The borealis has always been one of our trip highlights while canoeing and fishing the outbacks of northwest Ontario.
