We were out of woodland on the Columbia.  About 12 lbs. The one we let go was almost twice that big.  It was a beauty.  Season closes on Monday.

We were out of woodland on the Columbia.

I had my boatswain's mate training at the coast guard station at the mouth of the Columbia.  it's a dangerous river.

Biggest salmon I ever seen was in Alaska. Commercial fisherman brought in a 63 pound king Salmon. Its odd they don't get much longer than yours, they just get bigger in girth.
