You need one of my garbage pizzas, sausage, pepperoni, hamburger, bacon, green olives, black olives, jalapenos, green peppers, onions, banana peppers, shrooms and lots O'cheese. There are several calories involved tho. But it's killer.  Pam    .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

I hear ya Pam,I can make a great pizza, but man, this Unicorn pizza was a total flop!Pre-made crust had no flavor,no meat flavor, just awful!Pretty much tasted like a crummy salad warmed over on crummy bread dough.BLECH!Sure looked pretty going in.

Next time its getting yeasty dough and some kind of meat.BUT,pepperoni is 140 calories an ounce!!Thats just out of my reach. I see more stir fry,LOL!

OMG.....That sounds delicious, all I'd have to do is run a full marathon to burn the calories in that pizza.   :P

I agree!

On the other hand, while meat IS flavorful, there are other options to make a great pizza. As you pointed out, the pre-made crust is not the best option (it works in a pinch) but a fresh crust can add so much more than most of the rest of the ingredients. Making your own also lets you work in some herbs and spices for more flavor. To me, the star of the pizza is the crust, whether thin, thick, or deep dish.

My favorite pizza is fresh mozzarella and fresh tomatoes with basil - no meat - just a really fresh taste.
