Well I love pics of BBQ but was having hella time with one of the web pages suggested for posting , totally hosing my browser and computer. arrgh had to retype this a few times.
So have alot of spare time at home and trying to stay some kind of busy besides work . This will be week 5 coming up. I had some BBs delivered and did some curbside pickup of IPAs . This led me to not paying enough attention to detail . As I failed to notice how thin the ribs were before trying my little temperature alteration.
Last week I cooked them while varying the first 2 hours , rather than just using smoke setting or 200. I cranked to 300 and of course that means Pit Boss lid temp hits 350 . So long story short they were slightly overdone . But fam still loved them so no biggie.
1st rack Kosmos DB, 2nd T******* apple and honey rub, and thirdly good ole McCormicks sweet and smokey. I added some Saskatchewan rub(love it) to 1 and 3. They were all finished with BluesHog Smokey Mountain. All had great flavor but my test to differentiate between them was lost between the IPAs and the BluesHog with is pretty strong flavor . The flavors were great but the test will have to be run again, next time taste them before saucing . I used to do dry ribs for years but now Im really into some of these sauces.
These photo sizes are killing me
