Title: Smoked Meatloaf on the Weber Kettle
Post by: HighOnSmoke on April 02, 2018, 08:02:07 PM
Tonight’s dinner is a simple meatloaf with leftover potatoes and green beans from yesterday’s cook. This is 2 pounds of ground
beef mixed with some oatmeal, a couple eggs, 1 cup of milk, a little salt/pepper and lots of onions. The glaze is some ketchup,
mustard and brown sugar.

45 minutes into the cook and I inserted the meat thermometer. I am using the Weber with the SnS and the DnG. I am burning
KBB with a couple chunks of cherry wood.  First hour I am cooking at 250 and then I will kick it up to 325 to finish.

2 hours total cook time and the meatloaf is at 160.

My dinner plate! Meatloaf was very moist with a nice light smoke profile. Not as much smoke as I like, but I attribute that to the
meatloaf pans I was using.

I think the best meatloaf has the least ingredients.

Yours looks perfect. Like the glaze mixture.

My mom never glazed her meatloaves, so, I actually prefer them unglazed.  But I would give that one a try, Mike.
