When you work for others....

When  you work for others, you are at their mercy.  They own your work, they own you.  Your creative spirit is squashed.  What keeps you in such positions is a fear of having to sink or swim on your own.  Instead, you should have a greater fear of what happens to you if you remain dependent on others.  Dee

I have been pretty lucky. I did thirty years at the phone company and another six as a contractor.I had a few assholes for managers but I always just did what I thought was best for the customer. I only had one bad manager that I had to have a "come to Jesus" meeting with with. She threatened me but I went to her boss and he told her if if was her or me, it would be me. I only had one really bat boss at 30+ years at the phone company.
