So, you have a 40-hour work week?

I remember my first part-time job too.

No kidding. What I wouldn't give to have a 40 hr work week. It WOULD seem like part time! Only 43 months and 7 days to go. (Not that I'm counting) ::)

Starting out in Homestead AFB Fla. I was in the USAF, managed the Apts. I lived in and worked part time at a gas station pumping gas and washing and waxing cars.
30 years at Ford Motor Co. working 10 hour days and a lot of 6 to 7 days a week. When I started there I worked 12 hour days for 90 days before I got my first day off.
Been retired for 12 years now and just getting into 40 hour weeks! Don

You guys are just killing me with your stories of 50 and 60 hour work weeks. I think y'all have applied for the wrong jobs. You're making me feel guilty. This week, I will have worked a total of 4 hours. One this afternoon and three tomorrow night. And I get to work inside with air conditioning and no heavy lifting. Sometimes life is just hard.

40 hours does sound real nice as I type this at work while taking a few minute break to relax after working all week, Saturday and now I'll be here most of Sunday....

Can't wait to get our part timers fully trained and functioning so I can get down to a 60 hour week. :)

I worked 50+ hour weeks for 30 years, and then pretty much 40 hour weeks for about 12 years. Now I do about 20 hours a week as Asset Protection (glorified greeter) at Academy Sports, mainly for the employee discount.

You get to be armed?

My daughter works at a kids clothing store. They get to watch shoplifters walk right out the door.....can't say anything. Just crazy.

So us honest folks can pay 2x what stuff aught to cost to cover their shoplifting losses. Sounds fair to me!
