Beef Tenderloin Fillets on RT-700 and reversed seared on SRG
« Reply #-1 on: April 24, 2021, 01:32:17 PM »
Local grocery store had fillets on sale so I decided to cook on Rec Teq and sear on SRG with cast iron.  This is quickly becoming one of my favorite ways to cook steak. They went for about 70 minutes at 180 on Rec Teq and IT was about 110-115, one piece was slightly thicker. Then put them on the SRG for about 2 minutes a side for one and 3 minutes a side for the other. They turned out really good, had a nice amount of smoke flavor.

Off the Rec Teq

After the sear

Played with chopped salad and pan fried mushrooms

Looks really good zueth. What do you call the salad, or is it slaw? I like the looks of it too.

It’s a store bought Greek chopped salad. It’s good.

Perfecto!  I agree with cooking steaks that way.
