From personal experience, growing old sucks! It is a painful experience.

The only good thing about it is that I have the time to be on BBQ forum boards and make irrelevant comments.

Went fishing yesterday & we caught about 80.
My back hurts, my shoulder hurts , I've got carpal tunnel pain from the scaling, could hardly sit through church ???
It may be soon that my only hobbies will be

True story. I used to be a store manager for a Medical Supply store. We use to have some customers that would come by the store for their monthly supplies.

Had a fellow come in one day and walked to the counter very slowly and i looked up his records and gave him what he needed. After filling out his delivery receipt (store needed that to bill his insurance) he walked slowly to the door. He got to the door and looked back at me and said  "Golden Years, my a$$" and he left. I have never forgotten that........

Found out my body had aged when I rode my 20 year old Cannondale bike, purchased at age 50, yesterday after about a year of not cycling.

Today treating the aches and pain with pain patches and bourbon.

Feeling better now. ;D

I'm just thankful after 7 surgery's in 6 years to wake up on this side of the dirt!   Plus one surgery if not 2 coming up  ??? ???
