Made barbacoa in the Instant Pot and it was really good, but was missing the smoke flavor. Has anybody made barbacoa in pellet grill. Care to share general technique?

have your tried any of the liquid smokes..they have mesquite and hickory, just choose your flavor. Be careful of howmuch your use tho, a lil goes a lllllooooonnnnnnnggggg way.

How much would you recommend to use with 1 chuck roast?

I would use half a teaspoon unless you like a lot of smoke..this stuff is very strong. You can add more to the cooking liquid after but use sparingly. I like the hickory the best, it's up to you..use mesquite on red meats, beef, venison, etc. it's really strong.

Thanks, I will give that a try.

I would use a few drops, then sniff, and taste. It is POWERFUL...highly concentrated and if over-done...tastes and smells like you are chewing on a creosote fence post..... ;D

Ha Ha, thanks I don’t want that. I will start with a little.
Anybody have a barbacoa recipe for the pellet grill?
