Title: 6.5lb pork loin roast "suggestions?"
Post by: adam h on November 05, 2017, 11:40:46 AM
So, trying to keep this one simple, no messy marinade etc. not going to the store. All the rubs i have in stock have sugar, so just black pepper & garlic salt. Question is, should I oil it first? or rub w/mustard? or just the seasonings alone (want to slice it, not pulled pork this time). Also think setting the shelf 1 rung up rather than putting it in the bottom of the basket. From what I've read here, should take about 30-40 min per pound on low.
Any suggestions??

cook it to 140º, then pull and wrap..I would center it in cooker for nice crust on outside..I prefer CYM (cheap yellow mustard) personal preference..I also add gahhlick granules, fresh cracked pepper also..good luck.. .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

Wow , I don't think I could've kept up with that, doing too many other things during the cook. I went 15 min on high, then medium low for the rest of the cook, took about 2:15 to get to 145, still resting, 30 minutes to go
