Charbroil SRG.
Oh, yeah. Propane for heat and wood chips for smoke?

Hello everybody, I haven't been on here in quite some time but I did want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
-
My Big Easy is my favorite turkey cooker. I have never tried to do any smoking in it, since it cooks so fast (about 10 minutes a pound if I remember correctly). Here is this year's feast!
Glad to see some of you guys are still around. Miss the posts.

Same to you & everyone else!!! Have a good year folks

Great looking birds

Those look great!
We're on the mainland for the weekend but going home Tuesday. If any of you happen to be in Kailua in about a week, stop by for belated turkey, dressing, and gravy. Might be some other stuff, too, but that's up to SWMBO.
I'll be the one wearing the mask.

I'm so glad to see the SRG's still being used...I still have mine and love it, and use smoke every time. I use cherry wood because it gets the darkest . Happy Turkey Day to all. Pammie

Surprised Tommy didn't pipe in. I learned most of my SRG stuff through him!

One question on the smoking in TBE, do you just put the wood chunks in the bottom? It wood easily fit under the "Tommy Ring", but with the cook so quick (about 10 minutes per pound if I remember correctly) the cook is usually under 2 hours. Is that enough time to get any flavor to the bird?

Glad to hear it. I thought he might have misbehaved and Kimmie locked him in the tornado shelter.
-
Kimmie is pretty smart. She wouldn't lock him in the tornado shelter...she would chain him between the SRG and the RecTec with a couple of pork butts.
