Title: Whole fish in the PBC?
Post by: holdmethrilmekismegrillme on August 01, 2016, 01:38:36 PM
Have searched but found no reference to anyone hanging a whole fish (e.g Salmon) from the rebar (I.e. through the eyes or some other location in or near the head). Anyone tried anything like this?

I did actually find an old thread on this which resulted in a large portion of the fish falling into the fire. I know a lot of fish is smoked via hanging (as per this image http://trochronicles.blogspot.ca/2011/01/how-to-smoke-fish-two-methods.html)

But I also know the PBC is not a "smoker" - maybe the hotter cook temp causes the fish to break?

You could get a fish basket and then hang the basket in the PBC.

Thanks, may give that a whirl - or perhaps improvise with a chicken wire wrap.
