Welcome rom Minnesota. The best man at my wedding is from (and still lives near) Sydney. Looking forward to hearing about your experiences - one thing to know, the folks on this forum enjoy seeing pictures of your cooks.

It's raining cats and dogs down here at the moment. Horrible day. :( One thing's for sure, there will be no lighting of charcoal in this weather.

I have a question for you folks, how do you get emails when someone posts into a thread you are following, or, to a reply to one of your posts. Don't worry, I found it. Do you have to click on 'Attachment and other options' and select 'Notify me of replies' each and every post you make ?

Go to Profile, then lower left side look for "Modify Profile" the choose "Notifications"
Hope this helps

Well, I said it was raining cats and dogs here, that was well and truly before the 'ship hit the sand'. The last couple of day here in Sydney has been absolutely horrendous. Massive flooding, lives lost and now we just have a massive clean up to look forward to as the streets are covered in trees that have been blown over.
We have had no power from 1.30am Tuesday morning till about 8pm last night (Wednesday here). I had to have a generator running the freezers and a fridge within the house and using a little gas powered camping cooker to reheat food from the freezer.
Its time now to fire up the chainsaw and get rid of some of the rubbish.

Sorry to hear that Divey. My friend who is from Sydney sent me some pics from her friend who is in Sydney. Good luck with all the debris cleanup and we will be praying for you guys.
