God listens, he may not reply when we want him to but better late than never!
I am on cloud nine right now. I'll share a little insight. About 2 years ago I was sued by a customer then later his insurance company after they paid his claim (I am self employed and DO have insurance for such cases). I got news today that they dismissed the case!!
For the most part, I am relieved! Part of me wanted it to go to trial so we could show them how stupid it was they were suing to begin with, my lawyer was really looking forward to making fools out of them, said it was a "slam dunk". I knew it was but I am glad it's all over :)
I don't share stuff like this normally but I am SO happy and you guys (even though I've not met you yet) are my friends and I wanted to share this with friends!

That is so great to hear. I hope it wasn't over a hot cup of coffee 8)
Seriously, hard working people doing the right thing should never have even deal with this Crap. Now go smoke something, on the grill that is. ???

LOL! Yes indeed! The person in question LOVES to sue people, he brags about it. He had a damage happen in a rental house and tried to blame it on me. He got what he wanted, his insurance company paid up but then tried to get me to cover it. I had bent over backwards to help this guy in the past and that's the thanks I got. Gotta love it!

Good for you RG. Unfortunately, people like this and....lawyers, are born every minute. They outnumber us and their numbers keep growing.
A good many lawyers are good folks but in the good ol USA there are 281 lawyers per 100,000 people, the most in the world! The next closest nation is Great Britain with 94 per 100,000 people. So you see a lot of "fringe lawyers" must make money too, so they take cases that most moral lawyers would not. This is why our country's legal system is bogged down. Shady people hiring shady attorneys, to work on shady cases.
I tip my wine glass to you this evening RG! Good to hear when a good guy succeeds!

great news Jason, I know how these things can weigh on the mind even though there is no substance. i was a landlord for 20+ years, we could trade horror stories of things people do and try to get something for nothing.
Sounds like an end to the story you shared on another forum involving the guys daughter as i recall. Trying to help someone and do them a favor.

Congrats Jason!

Great news...
Thanks for sharing.
Almost 20 years ago I went through a similar trial.
I STILL remember the words that came to me after praying..."fear not what man can do to you". The next day, the case was dropped.
-
Good to hear you made out ok ;D
-
Good news RG. Might as well press your luck and play lotto today :)

That's got to be a load off your mind.
By chance, I am currently dealing with a situation with an insurance company (not mine) over an auto accident.
It has dragged on for almost two years & I am just ready for it to be over, no matter what the outcome.
-
RG, good outcomes happen to good guys. Sorry that you had to deal with that for two years.
-
Thanks for the kind words everyone. It certainly IS a load off. I am still feeling good today about it! SO very thankful!!
