I'm not sure if many of you know this but Pit Barrel does offer a replacement barrel and lid for $169. I just had to order one as the bottom of mine is starting to develop holes and isn't going to last much longer. I think that's pretty awesome you can order just the barrel instead of a whole new PBC. I had to order another coal basket as well, the bottom completely fell out :o

How long have you had your barrel?

I've had it a few years with extensive use. I asked when I placed the order but they said they'd have to check another system to find my original order date.

I'm surprised Smoke hasn't jumped in with a suggestion to just get his new cooker of choice. Jus' sayin'...

good to know, that is a great price. I bought my PBC over seven years ago. Paid a little over $100 on introductory price. Probably one of the best purchases of a barbecue cooker that I have ever done. Noah and Amber have been wonderful people to deal with , A great company. I have no problems with the barrel at this time.

Sadly mine rusted out over a year ago, I wont be buying a replacement barrel. However the Weber I got at the same time and use every week looks like new

I've had mine close to five years and probably cook on it 3-5 times a week.

I have a powder coated model that developed a rust hole in it last year and I bought a new barrel and lid for that same $169 price. I found a used porcelain coated model used not long after that for $150 and have been using that. The new barrel and lid still have not been used.
