I saw short ribs cut fairly thin at Sam’s yesterday. Last Christmas I attended a party where Korean short ribs were served as one of the many appetizers. Since I really liked them, a lot, I thought I would give them a go on my PBC. First up was to marinade them. Here is the link to the recipe I used. (

Several other recipes looked interesting, also, but I had the ingredients for this one. Next time I make this I will find some Mirin (rice wine) and an Asian pear to complete one of the other recipes.
First photo shows the short ribs fresh from the marinade. I also tossed a salt encrusted potato on the PBC with the short ribs. I did not use a full basket of charcoal to cook this meal. Only about half filled.
Here they are after about an hour. Mine came out about medium rare.
Ready to be plated.
My wife loved them. We will definitely be having these again.
