Title: Pit Barrel Playoff Sunday
Post by: 4cornersmoker on January 13, 2014, 06:34:15 PM
Since yesterday was playoff day with my favorite team the Bronco's we decided to do a smorgasbord. Did a tri-tip in the PBC first.  (http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag115/debbyolin/IMG_2133_zpsc5d44253.jpg) (http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/debbyolin/media/IMG_2133_zpsc5d44253.jpg.html)(http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag115/debbyolin/IMG_2132_zpsbfee1b5f.jpg) (http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/debbyolin/media/IMG_2132_zpsbfee1b5f.jpg.html)

Took it off after a hour & 15 mins at 135*. Foiled while the wings & onions went into the PBC.
Cooked for a hour or so.(http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag115/debbyolin/IMG_2141_zps576168ec.jpg) (http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/debbyolin/media/IMG_2141_zps576168ec.jpg.html)

Here is your plate of wings with a tri tip slider along with a bowl of hot & spicy chili that I made on Sat. in my rotten green egg.

Hi, this is what we used: Tatonka dust, Pit barrel beef & wild game seasoning, fresh ground black pepper & garlic salt. Seasoned the night before and let marinate till Sunday.

Hi, I call it the rotten egg because I name all of my grills & smokers. And when a egg is usually rotten it's green. But we love our egg. Just my name for it.

Just cut opened the Costco pork butt. They removed the bone and cut it in half - didn't expect that. So I've got two 5 pound butts. I'm going to put them on the rack since there is no bone. My first turkey cook failed on thanksgiving because it was too cold, so hopefully starting it early enough allows for enough leeway.

Oh and screw Peyton Manning.
