After reading all the reviews, and seeing the pics of all the cooks. I ordered one this evening. It just fits what I want to do, size is good, capacity is perfect, price is right. I could not find any negative reviews of it by people who owned one. Most of the trash talk against it, which wasn't much. Was by people who, did not own one, or ever use one. It should be here this week. Hopefully before the wife gets back from Tenn. That way I can get a couple of cooks in, before I surprise her with a good dinner.

A PBC is one awesome chicken cooking machine! I get folks who beg for "that chicken" at my house. It'll do some other stuff well, too but chicken is spectacular when you hang several half birds and let them do their thing in there for two hours.

I have some whole birds in the freezer. So two hours is about the magic time on them. I am in St. Louis, so elevation is not a problem. I cant wait til it gets here.

Thaw them first!!!! Then have a look at the chicken recipe on the PBC website. Noah's recommendation of a serrated knife to do the splits works quite well.

Just got the call. Its going to be three weeks till delivery. They have a back order, which is okay. So I have time to plan now. Still havent told the wife. She will be okay with it, if not I will just act suprised when it shows up. Maybe pretend like I thought she bought it for me. :D
