Well, I fired up my PBC for the first time last night, and I was not disappointed. The other day I asked for suggestions on a first cook and the answer was almost unanimously chicken, so chicken it was. I split it in half and cooked it according to the instructions in the PBC chicken video, using the All Purpose Rub that came with the cooker. I can say that it was without a doubt the best chicken that I have ever cooked, and I hardly had to do any work! The bird was a little small and I probably should have pulled it a tad sooner as the breasts were a tiny bit dry, but still delicious. But the dark meat...holy cow. The dark meat was insanely good. I looked over at my wife at one point and she was eating a leg with her eyes closed. I took that as a good sign!
I didn't monitor the temps during the cook, but did check them at about an hour into it and the temps were sitting at about 285*.
Daddy duties made it tough to get pics during the prep and cook, but I did manage to get one of the final product just before I covered it for its rest. Took it with my phone, so its not the best picture, but hopefully you get the idea.
I can't wait to cook something else in that thing! So easy, and a lot of fun!

Thanks for the nice comments! The picture really doesn't do it proper justice, next time I need to break out the real camera instead of the phone. I intended to get a plated pic after it was carved, but it was late and we were hungry!
Art, next cook is definitely ribs. I've read great things about ribs cooked on the PBC.

Great looking chicken.

Nice job, glad it went well. I like the beef and game rub on chicken also. With the ribs, you might want to cut the racks in half. The bottoms can get crispy sometimes. That seems to happen more if they are closer to the bottom vent. This thing can turn out some ribs too.

Thanks everybody!
tekn, thanks for the tip about the ribs. FYI, I've been inspired by one of your previous posts to find some skewers to hang some potatoes on. Those looked great and I like the idea of hanging the entire meal by hooks; meat, veggies and all.
