Anybody cook with the lid open, like using the Big Easy or is the SRG to different as to smoke or roast w/ open lid.

Depends on what I'm cooking. most things lid down but I do somethings open like chicken or turkey
There are different ways to cook things and you just got to figure which works best
frying chicken I leave up most times like the TBE nicer skin but if looking to get more smoke or slower cook I turn it down a bit and lid down with smoke

So I remember being told that lid down gets it hotter, lid up gets your food crisper. So I begin lid down and end lid up on all my cooks.
