Title: Jerky rack for my Camp Chef DLX
Post by: txpops on September 06, 2014, 12:14:42 AM
Ever since I bought my Camp Chef DLX pellet grill I've had my eye on this jerky rack. I found a good price at outdoorcooking.com plus I had a 10% discount code emailed to me for registering at their site so I pulled the trigger.

My box arrived a few days later. Really quick shipping.

The grates are heavy duty. Nice and sturdy. They are different sizes to maximize space and fit the curve of the grill lid. The down side to this is I can't rotate racks top to bottom. Only front to back. Not a deal breaker for me but some might not like it.

You have to remove the small warming rack to install the jerky rack system. No big loss IMO. I haven't used mine yet anyway.

I didn't have any jerky ready to go but hey just because they call them jerky racks doesn't mean that's all you can cook on them right? :)

How about some bacon!

I am really impressed with the simplicity of the design and the quality of the components. As you can see it's great for jerky. And for other things like bacon, chicken wings, and even fish or ribs this rack system really increases your available cooking space.

Mike, that's a good addition to your Camp Chef. Can't wait to see the first batch of jerky that you turn out.

I'm thinkin you could use the main grate, the top & bottom jerky rack & cook a WHOLE LOT of ribs!

Yes that's one of the reasons I went with Camp Chef. They are always coming out with new accessories and add-ons to enhance and improve their existing products.

Made my first batch of GB jerky a few days ago. I will try to post it later today.
