Title: Oakridge BBQ rubbed whole chicken
Post by: muebe on December 04, 2011, 09:15:27 AM
I had a foster farms whole bird that I rubbed with Oakridge BBQ chicken rub that I got from their generous sized sample pack. One sample pack was enough to completely coat the bird. Fired up the Traeger with the PID set to 320F grill temp using hickory & maple pellets for an hour until the IT was 140F. Then I ramped the temp up to 400F until the IT was 160F to finish the skin. The rub is great with chicken....delicious ;)
