After seeing the great cooks that RAD is givin' us on his new Weber, along with the killer cooks that H O S is bringin', I decided it is time to upgrade my Weber experience. As you may know, I have been using a Weber that was made in 1988...Still in good shape, but needed a makeover - or replacement.
Got it yesterday.
The new one is called Original Kettle Premium. I was looking online for the One-Touch Gold 22", but all the retailers were showing either out of stock or discontinued. When I called Weber about it, that's when I learned of the new name - just out this month.
Anyway, here is a link to a short video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX7EZZiM4IA
It's a beautiful thing!

That link is running through a Gmail login.

Congrats Jaxon! Don't get rid of your old one unless you want to send it my way. ;)
-

Congrats on the new Weber. Nice tour of the grill and now let's see something cooking on it.

X2
I like the new copper color. Looks like they made the ash catcher easier to take on and off. I always felt mine was over engineered

are you still smoking on your Old Country smoker??

I didn't use the Pecos during the hot, humid summer...relied on the Akorn and the MES mostly...used the Weber a bit, too.
As the weather cools down, I'll be using the Pecos more often.

That's a Beauty Jaxon!!
-
Nice Jack! Now get that thing dirty.
-
WTG Jaxon..your gonna love it..I have the same thing in Copper color. Bought it this summer and the ash catcher is the same as yours. It's at the lake but coming home for the winter. She sure is pretty copper colored. Cleaning & emptying is a breeze. Pam .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

Great grill, can't wait to see it getting used. ;)
-
You are going to love that grill. It has turned out to be one of the best cookers. I have two racks of ribs going now, it will make some of the best ribs, trust me. Set for indirect heat and let it do its thing.
-
Rad, I saw your pics, but couldn't tell how you set up your grill.
Do me a favor and take pics without the top grate on so I can see how you do the foil.
Thanx...
-
Jax,
take a look at my rib post and let me know if you need more pics.

Looks like a lot of foil under the grates, but I can't see how you set it up. Next time you cook 'em, Take a pic before you put the top grate on. Thanx...

Did some ribs today...A rack I cut into two pieces.
Here's the video...they DID turn out.

They look incredible.
