This cook was done in my Weber Jumbo Joe with the Mini-Vortex SS charcoal ring and using a hickory chunk for smoke.

The hot wings were breaded by going thru an egg wash and then rolled into a mixture containing flour, cornmeal, black pepper, white pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
The wings were sauced several times with a mixture of Louisiana hot sauce, butter, Rooster, Tabasco, cayenne pepper, and honey.

Just off the kettle.

The Buffalo bites went thru the same wash and breading as above but with far less ground cayenne. The bites are for the wife and she doesn’t do hot stuff!

The sauce used for this treat was Louisiana hot sauce, butter, and honey.

Looks really good. You did all that for lunch?!?! How was the breading with the smoke, I wouldn't think to try that, but the look of yours makes me curious!
-
Makes me think of Hooters' wings (sauced and breaded) but obviously much better.

Looks really good...and HOT....And I am SO glad that they now make those Puffs tissues with lotion...... ;D

Looks delicious Dave! Just the right amount of heat for me, but not the wife. ;) Bookmarked!

Another fine cook on the WJJ Dave!!! Don

Another great cook Dave! I like the hot stuff too, keeps colds and flu away! But I have to agree with Tim on his statement about Puffs! ::) Saves a step!
-
Dave, that looks so good. It would be just the right amount of heat for me.

Mr akruckus,
The breading does work quite well and along with the wing stuff, I have used it with larger chicken parts like legs, thighs, and even bone in chicken breasts. Nice thing about the breading and especially if you are a chili-head, is that the breading will hold a ton of the hot sauce!
That early morning session on the throne is not gonna be fun!
