Title: It took some time but worth it.
Post by: N. Ontario Smoker on May 31, 2015, 11:36:27 AM
Had to try a stuffed wing recipe. The hard part is learning to debone the wings. U-tube was my teacher for that part.

First I deboned the wings....

Then roasted and stuffed some jalapenos with goat cheese and bacon

They get really fat stuffed with a jalapeno.

A nice dusting of Cajun seasoning

Cooking on the Kamado

Finished with roasted corn on the cob. I cut one in half to show inside.

This one is a keeper.

Not going to lie... I would never go to the trouble, but I would eat the heck out of it.  :D

Me too. I would them faster than you could make them.

If you go to u-tube and search for stuffed chicken wings and look for hellfire wings you can see how to debone a wing in about 10 seconds. At the start of his video he puts a link to how he does it. Out of 9 wings I did 4 only in 10 seconds each. Still got to learn to do them all.

Great looking wings!!  I haven't tried stuffed wings, yet.  I have seen them on the cooking channel where they were stuffed with almost anything.  One in particular comes to mind, mac n cheese stuffed wings.  There are so many variations of mac n cheese that would go so well with wings.  I need to go look at that video.

Seems like it was worth the effort to try at least once.  Nice cook.

I have made them a bunch of times with different stuffing. It is a bit of a pain de-boning them but once you get the hang of it they are not that time consuming. I like the jalapeno and cheese stuffing.. looks awesome!

Wow, nice job on those!

Do you have a link for the YouTube video you watched on how to de-bone the wings?

I have to agree with SB! You better not leave a plate of those stuffed wings out in front of us without expecting them to vanish! :D

I am going to catch turkey wings on sale...and try these with BIG wings....I will only need to make 1 or 2 person that way, and a Turkey wing will be easier to work inside of.....

I love what you did with the chicken!
