Title: Anyone own a Karubecue cooker?
Post by: 1Bigg_ER on July 28, 2015, 02:44:36 PM
I'm looking into stick burners and this thing got me hot and bothered.
Does anyone own or have any experience with it?
The website is www.kbq.us. It's a one man operation

Now that is my kind of stick burner.

If I was in the market for one I sure would buy it!

Intriguing concept and lots of information.  Vertical cookers (of all types -- wood, charcoal, pellets, electrics) suffer from the common problem of producing unwanted flavor components due to the heat at the bottom of them being "struck" by grease, juices and gummy build-up from that process.  This takes care of that.  I also like the sound of their methodology for controlling white smoke and maximizing blue smoke.

I'd love to see one of these "up close" and actually cook on it.

Oh H!!! Now I want one :(

Me too...as soon as Tommy comes up with an "auto-feed" for it so I would not have to get up every 30-45 minutes to feed it. Got rid of my old off-set stick burner for that reason - and not going back.... ;) ;D

I feel the same way about my kids. Tommy needs to make an auto-feed system for my kids too :P

It used to be...I just enjoy a full nite's sleep too much anymore. Owning a couple of good pellet cookers had made me lazy I suppose. I like the "up all nite" thing - but hate the way I feel the next day.

I think it is good to know how to run a stick burner, this way when you are kicking back letting a pit do the work for ya, you earned that right..... ;)

Sometimes I miss it. But, I also miss having the energy to stay up all nite and feel great the next day as well. Tough choices - and wish I could have it both ways and keep the Mrs. happy too. Heck - that is hard enough on it's own. :D :D :D

Tim they make a pill for that... And a novelty store is another option.

Kinda like a gravity feed smoker.  Cool concept.
