A family member brought over a smoked pork shoulder to contribute to our easter dinner and i'm looking for some good ways to cook it. It says it's uncooked and has directions to simmer it for a few hours. I have a big easy, a propane bbq, and a charcoal kettle ( kettle doesn't have a thermomter though and I don't have time to drill one in) so i'm wondering if i can cook this in a grill somehow and have it turn out nicely.
I was thinking of putting it in the big easy or maybe indirect on the propane grill with some wood chips in a smoker box. Anyone have any best recipes for one of these?
it is the same as this photo, except mine is a different brand.

Cook it just like you would a pork butt......you are gonna have some good pulled pork.

Smoked shoulders are already cooked. You have to cook in water or broth to heat it through and then dry and finish on the grill with orange marmalade mixed with maple syrup and Dijon mustard to make a glaze. Yummy.

thanks for the replies! put it in the oven this morning and has been cooking for about 6 hours. Looks pretty good so far! just glazing with coke and brown sugar

If I was in a hurry I would do a Pernil (Puerto Rican Roast Pork).

roast came out super tender. the last hour i basted with a mixture of coke and brown sugar, and broiled the top for about 10 minutes. Probably the best ham i've ever had!

Thanks! i cooked it in a roaster at 300 for 4 hours then 225 for 3 hours. the last hour i basted it with some coke and brown sugar, then broiled it at the end for maybe 10 minutes, just keeping an eye on it. much of it just pulled away and was really delicious.
