Title: What a pain in the ........
Post by: nylic76 on December 08, 2016, 04:20:11 PM
After reading a post from ABC bbq about smoking a chuck roast to make pulled beef, I  decided to give it a try.  That's not the pain I  am referring to.  I have tried to upload a picture to photobucket and in addition to the pesky ads, I am getting a message that my phone is corrupted and filled with viruses.  Wants me to click OK, which of course I don't click  is anyone else having this problem.  My phone is only three weeks old and has not been to any troublesome sites.  Running Verizon protect shows no problems.  Is there another way to upload pics other than photobucket.  I'll make another post about the pulled beef   Right now, it is at 198º.

I am using Smug Mug now and really like it. It is not free but I think it's worth the $50 a year I paid and it comes with 24-7 help chat. There is a cheaper plan but doesn't include the help. There is no limit on the uploads. Don

I find it to be a lot simpler.  I like it a lot better than Photobucket, even before Photobucket started having all their problems.  They have a tutorial for each section which is excellent.
Once you use it a couple of times you will see how much better it actually is to use and store photos.

Yea Mike (HOS) helped me get started on Smug Mug. It is about the same as using PB Art but they use what is called a BBCode instead of an image code you copy and paste here. Don
Title: Photo Bucket Fix
Post by: Old Dave on December 08, 2016, 09:04:20 PM
Here is a little trick that might work to solve the Photo-Bucket problems if you are having problems with uploading photos. Rather than using the upload tab at the top of the page...click on the upload square that is just to the left side of your first row of pictures. This will cure 90% of most uploading problems.

Do let me know if this will work for you....

I'm just dragging them to the box with the plus sign.

The problem with not using photobucket is a lot of us have hundreds/thousands of posts on multiple forums that will loose all the old photos if we try to move them.  I found that out the hard way when I made folders and tried to move my photos into the folders right after I started using photobucket years ago.

All my pics are stored on an external drive first, then burned on discs, I always just up loaded to photobucket and if I lose them, too bad for them. I had several hard drive crashes in college, always at finals time. I do know how to back up. I have pics that are irreplacable, so I have learned.  .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

OK, so I used the browse feature for attachments under this box and easily got a picture here on from my desktop.

Question:  do I have to keep the pics on my desktop?

will the pic go away if I move the pic from my desktop?

should I instead have a file or folder for these pics?

help me please, help the smoke ...please............
