Title: Quick Question Regarding Turkey Breasts
Post by: nukeofficer on November 25, 2019, 10:38:57 PM
I have 3, 7 lb turkey breasts, that I am making on my pellet grill for Thanksgiving. Since I'm making more than 1, do I need to adjust my est time for them to be done? I always cook to IT and I know 165 is the temp for bird and I have always gone about 225 to 230 and estimated about 35 mins per lb give or take.
Since there are 3, 7 pounders, should I expect it to take longer?

Thank you all in advance.

I'm not the expert on this, but I would say cooking time should be relatively the same for 3 as it would be for just 1.  The pellet grill senses the chamber temp and adjusts the temp accordingly so the pit temp stays consistent regardless of the thermal load.

Right on. That makes sense.

Appreciate the help. Happy Thanksgiving!
