Title: Zen and the Art of Rib Cooking
Post by: LostArrow on February 02, 2013, 10:27:45 PM
Well I had a stressful morning so this afternoon fired up the charcoal for an indirect rib cook.
Two racks BB ribs, with charcoal & oak.
Temp 66F, partly sunny, Fleetwood Mac playing, a couple high gravity beers.
Decided to follow the Zen Rib Master Sparky's recipe.
Smoked 2 1/2 hours then buttered & honey ( no brown sugar).
In the foil for about an hour , then finished. Great meal!
Ribs rubbed

Ribs on for indirect smoke

Ribs cooked

Plated with roasted potatoes, salad & oriental slaw

A happy guest!

Couple of observations. I love you LA, but Fleetwood Mac?  Also, why the shiatsu rib rack? Do I need to do this?

I've loved Stevie Nicks for 40 years!
I only draped the ribs so they would fit on the cooker.

Give these younger guys a little slack. After all when it comes to rock and roll , those who are less than 40 grew up listening to road noise! ;)
