okie dokie.  welp, I love me some tri tip.  living in cali tri tip to us is like filet to most folks.  if you cook tri well it taste better than steak and a lot cheaper too.  and we get them all the time from Costco. 

fired up my chimney and away we go.

UW is brand new and already mess up.  its got dirt on it, grass clipping and spilled beer.  ok, now it part of the family.

I never ever let someone season my protein.  my son came home w/ this.  fine, I'll cook it.

after I get a good crust on both sides I let her ride in-direct (see, split coals up) until 135°.

Funny about the seasoned tri-tip. I looked at the pictures and then read the story. Thought you had a head injury that caused you to buy the preseasoned one ;)

Fantastic lookin' TT.  Costco is hit or miss around here on availability but Restaurant Depot has 'em and I always pick up a 3 pack or two when I'm there.  I agree, it's a great cut of meat and one of my favorites!
