Title: Camp Chef pellet grill and smoker
Post by: TwoPockets on May 18, 2013, 07:09:51 PM
Just saw this on the Camp Chef facebook page. Not sure how good it will be but seems to be a good small entry level pellet pooper. They list it for $800 on their website but they list the 3 burner gas range I have for $393 and I paid $148 at Costco and Academy has a 3 burner range for $185 so if you can find it at a retailer it should be much cheaper.

I am a sucker for anything from Camp Chef. I like the cleanout feature but not overly thrilled over the temp range of 175-400....come on CC get that sucker to go to at least 500...........

You are going to see more companies getting into the pellet cooker business. It is the fastest growing portion of outdoor cooking equipment sales

Seems like a pretty solid pellet grill. I like the clean out feature. Would be interested in seeing the interior of it (firepot, clean-out feature).

Nice to see some new players to the market.

It is just a matter of time until Weber gets into the pellet game. When a major player like Weber makes a pellet grill, it will get pellet grilling more into the mainstream...imho.............

Thanks for posting that video Smoke! It shows how the controller and pellet dump system work. That is pretty slick.

My neighbor across the street has been toying with the idea of getting a Green Mountain Grill until I sent her the link to outdoorcooking.com on the Camp Chef pellet grill.

She got a shipping quote and it is only 59.00 sent Fed-Ex ground to Southern California. She hasn't pulled the trigger yet but will keep everyone posted if she does order it and I can give us a review  (if she lets me) :D

Already in the works Scott... I love their products, and I think this grill will fit in nicely with our line up, as well as their other products. I am really amazed at their lack of dealers here in So-Cal.
