Hello,
Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm an amateur when it comes to grilling/smoking but look forward to learning and participating with as many of you as often as my time allows. BTW Savannah TX is about 30 miles north of Dallas on highway 380 :)

Great to have you - I know Tommy told you about LTBBQ, and I hope you feel right at home here. No questions are too basic, and don't worry about asking anything.
We enjoy helping one another be successful. It is part of the fun of outdoor cooking!

Greetings from North Texas jcal. I just moved from about 2 miles west of you on 380 (Paloma Creek North) to about 25 miles east of you on 380 (Princeton). ;)

jcal, welcome from Houston. Anything north of Dallas is Oklahoma as we look at it from here in south Texas, but we'll give you a waiver to qualify as a Texan. Heck, we had to give teesquare a waiver because he used to live in College Station. Actually, this is the best forum out there and you will love it here. If you are a friend of Tommy's, you probably have some good outdoor cooking experiences that you can share with us. Can't wait to hear all about them. Jump right in.

Howdy from South Arkansas! We will be at a steak cook-off out that way in September. I think its in Lewisvill? Anyway, it is somewhere North of Dallas/Ft Worth. :-\

Welcome from Arizona.

Greetings from Houston, TX! Please excuse IR2Dum's "Southside" rage ... he doesn't understand that those of us with North Texas ties are more authentically Texan than those down in Harris County. ;)
