Title: Kingsford Charcoal on Sale
Post by: veryolddog on July 02, 2013, 05:48:12 PM: Just in case you may be interested, Kingsford Charcoal is on sale at Walmart. $7.98 will buy you 30 lbs of Charcoal. They also have Royal Oak Natural Lump Charcoal in 10 lb. bags in the $7.00 range.

Home depot is selling Kingsford for $12.98 for 40 lbs. With my military discount, I walked out with 40 lbs. for $12.55.

Just in case you may need to stock up.

Post by: sliding_billy on July 03, 2013, 01:23:40 PM: Academy still has that $2.99 sale for the 16.6 lb bag of Outdoor Gourmet as well. I have used a bunch of it recently and have no issues as it compares to Kingsford Blue (haven't noticed any difference in burn or taste).

Charcoal price wars. The next thing you hear is that they will be giving away free glasses with each purchase as they did many years ago when you bought gasoline.

Don't worry Smoke, I get the boys at LA to buy 80 lbs a person!
Comes to 640 lbs.
I also use 300-400 lbs a year at home!

I think my wife is still giving me the stink eye and that was about 5 hours ago. :D Funny things was she knew exactly what was going on when I made the turn into the parking lot. She had no idea it was on sale, and she still made the connection that I buy it around holidays (when they put it on sale).
