Title: First grill on kamodo
Post by: LostArrow on April 23, 2012, 11:26:50 PM
Grilled corn, asparagus , & tenderloin tip on my CGK.
Grilled corn, first & put tenderloin on & asparagus last.
Pulled beef @ 119F came out very good.

So, if the heat deflector is taken out,the unit is a grill as well?

Smoke, it functions as a grill with the deflector out.
Cooked this with grate temps from 500F-530F
Will get hotter, a lot hotter but taking baby steps.

How much coals did it take to get to that temp? That looks really really good

LA - Good thing you've mastered the new kamado already; it's time to start grillin' for the road trip (and the breakfast you're bringing us along with the andouille delivery on Saturday morning).
