Title: I Got a Box
Post by: CDN Smoker on January 24, 2014, 05:45:39 PM: Some time ago I put the word out I was looking for a new blender. I had many valuable responses from members. I spent many a night researching and UTubing (is that a word?) looking at all the different brands.

At last I decided on the Vitamix Pro 300. I wanted the blending power along with the low profile. Here we go.

This baby is huge compared to the old one,

I was worrying about how loud it would be but I had it cranked up and really it's no more noisy than my old one, I might even say it's not as loud.

Be sure to try some of the soup making recipes. It made a believer out of me when I was able to pour in ingredients - and the Vita-Mix actually cooked the soup.

Pappy watched Fargo too many times….gave him some ideas about "evidence disposal…." ??? ::) :o ;D

Actually it's my wife who made me buy it. The drugs she has been on are making it hard to swallow. I was blending in the old one but it was not doing a good enough job. Close friends have a Vitamix so it was a easy sell :D

Seriously…those Vita-Mix blenders will make piping hot soup in about 5 minutes after adding room temp ingredients. Friction is a real physical effect……. ;)

Post by: PoolSmart on January 25, 2014, 04:00:00 PM: You'll be happy with your purchase. I only wish I had the newer low profile unit. I think the shorter wider container is the ticket. Fits under the counter with the lid. That coupled with the power is top notch.
