Title: RF Smoker
Post by: africanmeat on February 16, 2014, 11:27:56 AM
In my last post on BBQ
http://www.letstalkbbq.com/index.php?topic=8078.0
LostArrow asked me for more photos on my cooker I promised  to do a post on it .it was made from a hot water boiler .
added 2 burners on in the fire box to start the fire,on in the main smoker for cold days to preheat the smoker .
in a later stage i added the BBQ Guru.
it took us 3 months to finish it (we worked as we got free time ).

Good looking cooker.  Just wondering... is there no lip between the cooking chamber and firebox (IOW does any grease roll directly into your firebox)?

Good looking cooker.  Just wondering... is there no lip between the cooking chamber and firebox (IOW does any grease roll directly into your firebox)?

under the grid  in line with open part of the  fire box  is i heat plate .  in the middle of the heat plate there  is a hole .
there is a pipe that is welded to the hole and it goes out at the bottom of the smoker .
the heat plate got a bend to the side of the smoker and to the length of the smoker.
so all the fat is  slipping to the middle of the heat plate   and drips out through the pipe .

Great build Ahron!!

Does the guru control a gas control solenoid valve since it appears to have a pilot with ASO?

Thanks for posting ;)

You have to forgive Muebe, he starts "speaking in tongues" sometimes and we don't know what he is saying.
