Looks like you bought the one with the new controller already installed. I bought the retro kit for mine
once it was released. The Grid Iron is one great cooking machine!

You will really appreciate this unit on very long cooks at low temperatures like brisket and pork butt. You can actually go to bed and sleep through the cook and wake up to see a product completed.

If I did this on my wood offset smoker, I would be exhausted because the offset requires attention every hour on the hour to manage fuel and air supply.

  Nope, I bought mine just before they offered the new controller. This is the retrofit. I bought the kit from Blaz'n I paid around 200 bucks for it.

  They are about 200.00 US, I bought mine from Blaz'n Grill works because I am about 25 miles from the factory. Check out ebay, might be cheaper.
