It was a stormy day so I decided that we would have a Caesar salad for dinner. It also gave me the
opportunity to try chicken breast Sous Vide style. 2 chicken breasts were thawed and then I seasoned
1 with Mo Rockin and the other one was seasoned with WOW. Both got hit with some Toasted Onion
sea salt and I added some butter to each packet.
Put into a 146 degree bath for the next 3 hours.
Out of the bath and into ice water to quickly cool down.
I was also craving shrimp so I picked up some frozen shrimp today at the store. Shrimp was thawed,
seasoned with Pike Place rub and sealed with some butter.
Put into a 132 degree bath for 30 minutes.
Shrimp is done!
Chicken sliced!
Shrimp is ready to be devoured!
I added some cherry tomatoes to my salad.
Okay I am now a believer on how juicy and tender chicken breasts are cooked Sous Vide. Simply delicious!
We could taste the flavor of the rubs in each bite. My wife asked me if the shrimp was fresh, as that is
exactly how it tasted. I will definitely be doing both this way again. I also want to try salmon and some
other type fish.
