Smoked Beer Brats

Brats are smoking on the Traeger in the background.


Brats are getting happy in the beer bath with onions.

I don't care if they bathe before or after grillin' those look like some real good brats. Very nice!

I know it sounds a little crazy ( well..WHAT did you expect from me? ;D )

But...has anyone tried keeping the beer "broth" - reducing down,  de-fatting it - and using it as a killer ingredient in a Bloody Mary? With a big 'ole piece of bacon for a garnish? 

THAT could be the "Breakfast of Champions"!  ( Or alcoholics I supposes... ::) ;D )

That's exactly what we would expect from anyone that poses for pictures with a purple unicorn in Sam's Club.   :P :P :P

Gotta admit that the Bloody Mary mix idea does sound interesting.  ;)
