Greetings!
« Reply #-1 on: November 03, 2014, 07:21:28 PM »
Originally from Massachusetts, I never really did anything more than grill. My life changed some however when I move to Houston, TX abut 17 years ago and was introduced to real BBQ. My FIL and I both got Big Green Eggs and started on our journey for the love of the smoke. I moved to Gilbert, AZ 14 years ago and alas, have not done as much smoking as I wanted over that time. I still have my BGE and have assisted my FIL on many smokes on his bigger smoker.
I now own a house with some land where I can create an outdoor kitchen and I plan on making a pizza oven as the cornerstone and then some sort of grill/smoker and also incorporating my BGE of course. My biggest decision is what kind of grill/smoker to get/use for the type of cooking we do.

I look forward to all the tips, tricks and recipes and hopefully sharing a few of my own.

Glad to have you!
You will find this group to be open minded about kinds/brands and styles of cooking. We each may have our personal favorites cookers and methods - but readily acknowledge that it is all about what will work for you that counts.
Most folks here have several kinds of cookers and different brands - each having a strong point and use in their cooking repertoire.

SO - dig in, and have fun...that is the house rules! :D
BBQ is neither verb or noun. It is an experience.
