Hello to all of you fellow BBQers,
It's taken me awhile to get into the forum and introduce myself, but here I am. My name is Steve and I live near the coast in southeastern NC. My wife and I enjoy cooking in general and outdoor cooking probably the most. I've used gas grills, charcoal grills, cooked over open fires, used Dutch ovens while camping, stuck a hot dog on a stick and cooked it, etc. I just enjoy the taste of food cooked outside a lot and love to try new methods and recipes.
I received a Pit Barrel Cooker for Christmas and have enjoyed three successful cooks on it (chicken halves, pork butt, and baby back ribs). I can't say enough positive things about this cooker. It works very well for my needs and it's been my intro at this point into using a smoker for cooking. At this point, I'm thoroughly hooked and interested in seeing what everyone else is doing and how they're doing it.
My nickname in here is NCGrandpa. You can call me that or call me Steve, either is fine.
Thanks for having me in this esteemed group of grill and pitmasters!
Best regards,
NCGrandpa
