Wal Mart Charcoal Sale

I saw a Walmart  flyer in this past Sundays newspaper here in SE Virginia, that Walmart Mart has a sale on Kingsford Original Charcoal. 2 -16.7 Lbs bags for $8.97. I did check with the store today and they did in fact have it for that price. And the bags I purchased today had the packaging code of the 57th day of 2015, so it has not sat all winter long in less than ideal conditions. Also for you propane users they are charging $14.95 for gas bottle exchanges. Not a bad price for propane in this neck of the woods, about $ 4.00 cheaper then the normal price around here. What I do not know is if this is a national sale or if it is regional.

Thanks, that is a good deal.  I am gonna hold out for Memorial Day and see what HD and Lowes comes up with..............but that is a good deal at Wal-mart....

It's the same for propane here in Lima, still have enough Lowe's charcoal to last till Memorial Day.  Pam .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ིྀ.

Not in this area of SE Virginia, best I found at Lowes or HD was 2X20lbs. for $18 and some change.

nope, the Wal-mart deal comes out to .28 a lb   HD and Lowes usually does Memoial and July 4th and Labor Day  2-20# @ 12.99  which is .33 a lb

When it's on sale here at Meijer's, WalMart and Menards, it's $9.99 for 2 - 20# bags. On sale Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day. I always stock up.  .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

I will definitely by the Charcoal if  I ever see it for 25 -30 cents a lbs. I am buying charcoal for the 1st time in many, many, and many years. I have looked for the sales now so I can keep this new PBC fired up and this is the best price I have found in our local area. I really have not thought about buying charcoal on line but if the price is right with free shipping to the store, I am in.

I like the Do it best site. You can get a good price on Royal Oak hardwood briqs in 40 lb bags shipped free to your local store. I use them and Kingsford with great success in my pits.....
