This is just unreal
« Reply #-1 on: March 24, 2015, 08:22:39 PM »
True confession time: as you know I have gone through a bunch of smokers and grills. Y'all probably think I am rich and crazy. There was even a cry from Louisiana for a divine intervention  ;D

Truth be told, my Mom lost control of my parents finances back in 2009. My Pops would bring home the bacon and Momma would pay the bills. Something happened and she stopped paying all their bills except for the utilities. So we never knew what was going on. They were always hitting me up for money though. I would be selling grills and smokers on CL to give them cash. I would eventually get paid back and then would get another one. I would then get hit up again. I didn't make the kind of money through my job to have xtra cash in the bank so I would sell my grills. I even had to sell a end table furniture humidor chock full of good stogies towards the end. One of their properties was in foreclosure and I cashed out all my retirement savings to bail them out on that. Hopefully, probate will get me paid back. It was just something I had to do, and my only items of any values were my pits.

So now I would like for you to revisit this post from 2012  http://www.letstalkbbq.com/index.php?topic=786.msg6798#msg6798

I had my beloved Quality Grill from Detroit Michigan custom done to my design. I was just getting the pit figured out when Mom and Pops hit me up for more cash......

The grill was sold to a real nice guy named Tony who was just getting into grilling and smoking...............

He just called me out of the blue (he kept my number all these years) he said he had a custom trailer pit made and had the outfit refinish and high heat paint the Quality Grill. He said he talked to his wife about getting rid of the Quality Grill and she loved it so much, she eventually agreed for him to call me and see if I wanted it back!

Tony told me he got such a good deal from me 3 years ago and the grill made him love BBQ so much he said to make the drive to the San Fernando Valley and I can have it back for free.  8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

I will be leaving the mountain at 7:00 a.m. Sunday Morning with Smoochy on the dash board.  8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Pics to follow when we hit the Valley.
