Schublig on the PK Grill
« Reply #-1 on: May 14, 2015, 08:04:08 AM »
Schublig is a traditional smoked Swiss sausage made with pork and beef, dried milk, onions, and spices. It is a real treat on the grill. Reuf's Meat market in New Glarus, WI makes this and many other Swiss sausages. I cooked these indirect for about 15 minutes and then moved them over to the preheated Grill Grates for a bit of color. We served these wonderful sausages with a marinaded cherry tomato, fresh basil, and fresh mozzarella salad. Oh boy this was good!

SB schublig is similar in my opinion to an excellent homemade or butcher shop polish sausage. I prefer these over polish by far. They are rare to find in U.S.

Gene, I have to get back to New Glarus! That sausage looks fantastic. But I have to say I am really digging the salad - I am stealing that idea this weekend. Thanks!

Pappy, do you think they have this at Kramarczuk’s? I might have to run over there this weekend for a sausage fix!

It very well could be!  ::)
My wife and I were talking the other day about all of my cooking "toys" and two-wheeled "toys" and the lack of space in the garage. I told her that if she bought me a PK Grill years ago, I wouldn't have needed all these other cookers. This bugger does everything great! In fact since last Fall I haven't used anything else but the PK! ::)
