I often use my gas grill to finish what I'm smoking on my offset.
I'll smoke for about 6 hours , put in a large disposable aluminum pan & finish till desired temp.
Helps keep the use of the offset fun instead of an ordeal!
My old gasser had a large warming rack & a large pan worked fine.
Well my new (to me) Genesis the warming rack only holds the large pan precariously
Couldn't live with that so into the junk room , found an old rack, trimmed it to fit & temporarily attached with bailing wire.

A large pan is stable now
